Title: Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

1cButter or margarine, soften
1 1/2cSugar
1 Egg
1/4cWater
1tsVanilla extract
1 1/2cAll-purpose flour
1/2tsBaking soda
1/2tsSalt
1/2tsGround cinnamon
1/2tsGround nutmeg
3cQuick-cooking oats, uncooked
1cChopped pecans (optional)
1cRaisins

Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg, and beat well; add water and vanilla, mixing well. Combine flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats, pecans, if desired, and raisins. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: about 8 dozen.
